GO! Social: Beach on the Bay …

We are pleased to welcome you to our GO! Social: Beach on the Bay

Please note this event is for students currently enrolled at Swansea University (and their friends / family) and is not open for bookings from the general public. A valid Swansea University Student Number will be required on booking

GO! Social events are great opportunities to socialise, make friends and feel part of the university community.

We welcome you to join us for an afternoon on the beach! This is a great way to unwind, relax and meet other students. We will also be playing some ice-breaker games!

This is a free event, however, we do encourage you to bring your own packed lunch with you (i.e. sandwiches, snacks, soft drinks). There are also opportunities to grab some lunch on Campus. 

All students are welcome, so please join us. 

We'll be meeting at 12pm at:

The entrance to the Great Hall, Bay Campus

Once we have all met outside, we will walk to the beach, it's a 2 minute walk!

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us, but if it's very wet or very windy we will amend the location or postpone. Please keep an eye on your emails for updates.

Important Information:

Conduct & Safety: You are responsible for your own behaviour and time keeping. Please take reasonable care of your own and other people's health and safety. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with safety information and safety instructions on board transport and at any location you visit. If you have any concerns, please raise these to the Trip Leader. In the event of an emergency situation, please ensure you contact the emergency services on 999.

Accessibility: The campus is wheelchair accessible. The beach close to the campus does not have beach wheelchairs available to rent. If you have any concerns or queries regarding the suitability of this event, or have any specific accessibility requirements, please contact gosocial@swansea.ac.uk as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist, however we cannot guarantee all requirements can be met.

Children: Children (aged 3 and over) are welcome on this trip and must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please be advised that child safety and well-being is the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times – and its partners accept no responsibility for children attending.

Data Protection: We will use the information you provide for attendance and safety purposes. We will use your data to produce internal statistics but will not share it with third parties or use it for marketing purposes. Your information will be provided to our trip leader on the day of the trip for the purpose of attendance monitoring and emergency situations. The information will be kept confidential and passed back to and destroyed.

Photos: We will be taking photos throughout the event which we will use to promote future activities in the form of leaflets, social media posts, digital screens and on our website. If you would not like to be included, then please tell us on the day of the event. If you see yourself in any pictures and would like to be removed, please email us at gosocial@swansea.ac.uk and we will make sure that any photos of you are deleted.
