International@CampusLife invite you to our GO! Walk: Explore Swansea!
Please note this event is for students currently enrolled at Swansea University (and their friends / family) and is not open for bookings from the general public. A valid Swansea University Student Number will be required on booking.
Date: February 5th 2025
Time: Departing both campuses at 12pm
Welcome to Swansea! We hope you'll love your time here - but we also know that coming to a new city can be challenging - where are the shops? what about places to eat? is there somewhere to swim? How do I even get there!
Join members of the International@CampusLife team on our Explore Swansea session and we'll take you on a tour of the city centre, showing you:
Shops - from fashion to the supermarket to Swansea's amazing indoor market!
Culture - galleries, theatre and museums
Transport - Swansea's bus and train stations
Leisure - Bowling, cinemas and the LC leisure centre
Food & Drink - from big name chains to independent cafe's
This is also a fantastic chance to meet some new people and make some mates too!
You can join us:
• Park Campus - steps outside Fulton House
• Bay Campus - outside the Great Hall main entrance
We'll be taking the bus from campus to the city centre - so you'll need to purchase a bus ticket. We recommend downloading the First Bus App - this is the easiest and lowest cost way to buy your ticket, and we'll show you which one to buy on the day.
Click here for the Google App (for Android)
Once it's installed you just need to select the 'South & West Wales' area and local tickets will be available. If you can't access the app or wish to pay cash you can buy a ticket on the bus!
This is a relaxed and informal tour, so we don't have any set times for ending, and you'll be free to do your own thing afterwards.
We hope to see you soon!
