Get ACTIVE is offering a NEW session of INDOOR CLIMBING, in conjunction with Dynamic Rock .  

Dynamic Rock is Swansea's largest indoor climbing centre with a great facility for beginners and the inexperienced climber; with a roped climbing area with 23 lines with 50+ routes ranging from 3 – 7c.

• This is an instructor-led taster session for those who are beginners. Maximum of 12 places available. Cost: £8
• We are able to offer a further 6 places to competent climbers (expereinced at climbing and belaying. Experienced climbers will need to fill in the following registration form if they are not registered with Dynamic Rock already - yhttps://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/6gpcvueergpmwpzh6fxv5m/web/). Cost: £8 

Cost includes: harness, shoe hire and transport to the venue.

Duration: 1.5 hour session 

Location: Hebron Road, Clydach, Swansea, SA6 5EJ

Pick-ups:

11:50am - Fulton House, Singleton Campus

12:00pm - Swansea Museum (SA1 1SN)

12:10pm - Fabian Way Bus Stop (opposite campus), Bay Campus

Return approx. 2:45pm

 

Once you have booked your ticket, you will receive a confirmation email from getactive@swansea.ac.uk. Within this email, there will be a link to Dynamic Rock's Regisration Form which should be completed before.

Acknowledgement of Risks: (a) I understand that participation in a Get ACTIVE session could result in a physical injury. I agree that I do so at my own risk, am voluntarily participating and assume all risk of injury to myself; (b) I understand that Sport Swansea recommends that if I have pe-existing medical condition/s, I should consult with a health professional before participating in Get ACTIVE activities. 

When booking your ticket, you'll be asked to consent to the above. 

Data Protection: Get ACTIVE will share your details with our Activator/s and relevant individuals/organisations who are delivering sessions on behalf of Get ACTIVE and Swansea University, as required, for attendance and safety purposes. We will use your data , anonymously, to produce internal statistics. 

Weather: Unpredictable...we are in Wales after all!! For outdoor sessions, if the weather is against us, we may be forced to cancel a session as we want to make sure it's as safe as possible for you to enjoy and have fun. If we have to cancel the event, we'll let you know by email. 

Accessibility: If you have any queries regarding the suitability of this event, or have any specific accessibility requirements, please contact getactive@swansea.ac.uk before booking a ticket.

Children: children (u18s) are not able to attend a Get ACTIVE session unless it is advertised as a ‘Kids-friendly session’. 

Photos: We may take photos and videos throughout the event which we will use to promote future activities in the on social media posts and on our website. When booking your ticket, you'll be asked to give photo/video consent. If you change your mind to your initial answer, just let us know on the day. 

Cancellation: Our sessions have a maximum capacity, which varies depending on the session type. If you book a ticket but are not able to attend, please ensure you cancel it through your account at www.events.swansea-union.ac.uk. This will allow another person to take the space and avoid people missing out. REFUNDS ONLY AVAILABLE 72 HOURS+ OF THE SESSION TIME. 

Insurance and liability:

• The University will not accept liability for loss or damage of property placed or left on the University or external premises.

• The University will ensure the booking facilities are safe and all equipment meets manufacturer guidance.

• The University will ensure that all external venues used have sufficient liability cover.
