Of the 80,000 native Irish speakers, 6,000 live in the North of Ireland and three of them became a rap group called Kneecap. In this real-life story, fate brings a world-weary Belfast schoolteacher into the orbit of a self-confessed ‘low life scum’ duo, the needle drops on a hip hop act like no other. Rapping in their native Irish language, KNEECAP fast become the unlikely figureheads of a Civil Rights movement to save their mother tongue.
