Adapted from the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton and directed by Oscar-winner Bong Joon Ho (Parasite) this science fiction black comedy follows Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson), an "expendable" clone on a mission to colonize the ice planet Niflheim. Tasked with dangerous assignments, Mickey is regenerated after each death, retaining most of his memories. The plot intensifies as things go very wrong with one regeneration when Mickey 17 survives a mission and confronts his successor, Mickey 18, leading to a profound exploration of identity and the ethics of human expendability.
