1950. William Lee, an American expat in Mexico City, spends his days almost entirely alone, except for a few contacts with other members of the small American community. His encounter with Eugene Allerton, an expat former soldier, new to the city, shows him, for the first time, that it might be finally possible to establish an intimate connection with somebody.
‘Burroughs believed in magic, and watching Queer, one has an inkling that Guadagnino does too.’ Hannah Strong, Little White Lies
‘Guadagnino wants not only to expand your consciousness as a moviegoer, but to cut you open and rearrange all the parts of you that see and feel things when you watch a film at all.’ Ryan Lattanzio, IndieWire
1950. Mae William Lee, Americanwr oddi cartref yn Mexico City, yn treulio'i ddyddiau bron yn gyfan gwbl ar ei ben ei hun, heblaw am ambell gyswllt ag aelodau eraill o'r gymuned fach Americanaidd. Mae ei gyfarfyddiad ag Eugene Allerton, cyn-filwr alltud sydd newydd gyrraedd y ddinas, yn dangos y gallai, am y tro cyntaf yn ei fywyd, feithrin cysylltiad agos â rhywun o'r diwedd.
